Good Times Tracking
Hey friends,
I wanted to post a new update to fill you in on the album's progress. As I was mentioning in my last update we started recording in late November, a solid three days at The Library, producer and music-wizard-genius Matt Patrick's studio. Zach Miller was on drums, who's also producing this mad adventure, Aaron Fabbrini was on bass and baritone guitar, and Jake Hanson was rocking the electric guitars. There was a unique magic between us all that left us feeling like something new had happened. Our good friend, Will Keeler, was also able to grace us with his presence, getting some raw footage of the whole event that we hope to turn into some good home viewing for you folks.
Recently we've picked things back up with producer/guitarist/sweet dude Aaron Ankrum this January, and started recording acoustic guitars. Zach, Aaron and I have had a blast on our last two sessions, and are really pumped for the third and last coming this Monday. Having the acoustics recorded has really given these songs an anchor and a clearer view how these songs are shaping up. There's an inspired fresh feeling now, which is a gift during the sometimes grueling recording process!
There's nothing quite like making music with such talented folk who happen to also be such good friends. That dynamic is unlike anything else experienced. It's something we feel you'll be able to hear in this music. When you listen to a record being played, you're hearing the echos of these creative moments that happen, and keep happening as it inspires others, and gets some heads bobbing and feet tapping. Recording is good stuff :).

We reached our Kickstarter goal!
Thanks to all our incredible supporters we reached our Kickstarter goal! We'll be heading to the studio at the end of November to record the bed tracks with drums, bass and guitars. It's a humbling, beautiful and catapulting feeling when your friends and fans come together to make something like this happen. This music belongs to them!
Also, because of our 134 supports, the band and I will be donating 14 hours to Project Food Patch garden that donates all the food it gorws to local food shelves. Getting dirty for a good cause!
I’ll be posting updates on how the recording is going here and on our Kickstarter page. We can’t wait to share these new tunes with you! You can check out the Kickstarter page here: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/benrosenbush/ben-rosenbush-and-the-brightons-sophomore-album
